Keep moving forward, my dear. Though reflection is important when assessing one’s growth and lessons imparted, it is important not to become mired in this process. Take the lessons and wisdom gained and keep moving forward.
What often happens to you and many, is that you keep looking in the rearview mirror and thus you take the focus off what you are meant to be fully experiencing on your journey.
When you are constantly checking your rearview mirror, you are more apt to miss the signposts along the way, as well as the gifts that are there to lift your spirit and remind you of the magical journey you are on. Keep pressing forward with determination, not with the focus on any “final destination” but rather with the aim of enjoying all aspects of the journey.
Every life is filled with twist and turns, roadblocks and detours. There is no “fast track” or “short cut.” And why would you want that when there is so much to experience along the way?
So often there is a tendency to want to “just get through” with the thought of getting to some imagined idyllic place where you can finally “rest easy.” And yes, that will happen when you take your last breath. But you can choose to experience this “easy-breezy” flow when you flow with and not against your chosen path.
Choose to notice more and tune into your heart to assist with this process. Notice where you are as you navigate your day; but do not stay stuck by ruminating on what you fear you might have missed along the way or how you could have chosen a better route.
You are being lovingly guided every leg of your journey. Nothing you experience is random. Think on that truth. If you shift gears and consider this truth, then you will naturally feel more wonder and excitement for what and for whom you may encounter.
This wondrous state creates more joy and more appreciation for the gift of being on this journey in the first place. You know this sense of wonder, excitement, and appreciation. You experience this state most often when you navigate your life with your internal GPS… “God, Provides Support.” Use this “God Support” by asking, allowing, and most importantly trusting in it.
Keep the focus on the sights and scenes along the way. Ask the question: “What wonder will I experience today?” and see what unfolds.
When you feel you have taken a “wrong turn” simply readjust. Be grateful for the realization and let it go – just as you would do if this occurred while driving your vehicle. You wouldn’t return to the place where you took the “wrong turn” to review it again would you?
Ponder that the next time you find yourself looking in that rearview mirror. Accept where you are (which is further along your spiritual path than you give yourself credit for) and keep moving forward!
You will never be “off course” when you fully trust in yourself and your “God Provides Support” system to aid you.
