Breathe and feel how much this simple action relaxes the body. You are so easily able to fully feel the peace within when you simply breathe in fully the life force energy. Spaciousness is allowed when you consciously savor moments of connecting to the breath.
It is a very good thing that your breath does not require you to stop and think about it, for if this were the case, many would be in trouble. We say this in jest, but in truth, we are referring to the way in which so, so, many go about their daily routines. So many are caught in a tailspin, rushing mindlessly from one activity to the next, with the constant, nagging sensation that there is simply not enough time. And when you live from this mindset, you create this outcome. You find that you are forever in a state of mild anxiety and never truly present to the moment at hand.
There is another way. There is a way that is much more ease filled. It is one that starts with putting aside the belief that you need to “beat the clock.” We understand fully that you are in a world that relies on time, schedules, planning and preparing. This can be done, however, without the underlying worry and over-emphasis on minute detail.
You see, when you fill every moment of every hour consumed with activity – activity that involves external action – then you are making it challenging for there to be any space leftover for your connection to the deepness, vastness, and peace within.
We are not asking you, nor would we expect you to stop all you are doing and simply remove yourself to an isolated island or mountaintop and sit in quiet forever (though, we are not knocking this either!) We jest – as humor is important! Of course, taking extended periods of time for quiet and stillness is what we are referring to.
You know that the greatest moments in life that you experience are those when you are fully immersed in the body – connecting the body, the mind, and the spirit as one entity. These are the moments that have the opportunity to bring you great joy, wonder, excitement, and fulfillment of every kind. Often these are the most simplistic moments of your day, yet often you decide you do not have the time to stop and experience them fully.
We invite you very strongly to do otherwise! Take the time to take it in! Fill your heart, fill your soul, fill your life with moments where you allow full and total immersion with our Creator. There is plenty of time for taking these moments. These moments are what make up your life, not the constant striving to experience something different, somewhere else!
When you pay attention to these moments of your life, you are fully living. You are moving with intention rather than on “auto-pilot.” This requires slowing down. You have control over that! Time is not running out!
Now. Every now moment comprises time. It is the only moment that you can be truly alive and truly immersed in the wonder of it all.
So slow down! Notice when you and others around you are rushing here, there, and everywhere! See it for the absurdity that it is. Smile, laugh and set the intention to take it slow and easy. Look around, notice, breathe, take the time to greet another with a word or a smile or a simple act of assistance. Do not tell yourself, “I don’t have the time for this.” For if you do this continually, you will find you are “out of time” and at the end of your life’s journey with regret that you didn’t take the time to enjoy the moments as fully as possible!
Slow and steady “wins the race.” Again, we jest – for the race is non-existent.
“Slow and steady” and leave it at that.
