Fear is wasted energy,
Within its grip, we’re never free.
It falsely claims that it knows best,
And hijacks thoughts, so we can’t rest.
Though fear can sometimes have our back,
Most times it simply self-attack.
It mocks us with, “you’re not enough,”
“you can’t succeed,” or “you’re not tough.”
It haunts our nights and taunts our days,
And blocks our path in endless ways.
It tears apart untethered dreams,
And rips desires at the seams.
The fear that keeps us stuck in place,
Is fear that blocks the flow of grace.
The fear that mutes our inner voice,
Is fear that stops a “heart-based” choice.
A parasite that’s hard to find,
Fear thrives within a worried mind.
Convincing us to “play it small,”
Fear locks our heart behind a wall.
Insidious as it can be,
We CHOOSE it as our enemy.
It takes both strength and courage,
In our goal to slay this beast.
And sheer determination,
To ensure it stays deceased.
Without our fear, our spirits soar,
We bravely open each new door.
Embracing who we’re meant to be,
Our fear now tamed, our love now free.
